Health benefits and social opportunities
How will I benefit from joining Borrowbrook?
Research shows that doing physical activity, taking part in interesting activities, and chatting with other people is essential for everyone’s physical and mental health. Borrowbrook will help you to feel connected to your local community, to find new friends, and find people who will listen to you and care about you. You will always have someone to turn to if you need advice or a listening ear. Our project co-ordinator Rachel is only a phone call away: 07596 824 505.
Borrowbrook’s services are for anyone aged 60 or over who lives in Ockbrook or Borrowash.
Help and Support
Pop in and see us at our premises in the heart of Borrowash at Borrowash shopping centre . Whether you’re an older adult, relative or carer, you will find a volunteer with a warm welcome and a listening ear, and who can signpost you to someone who can help you if you have a problem.
Opening hours

It brings together lonely and isolated older people in the villages and gives them a feeling of worth. It has a wonderful reputation locally.
